DARK CHOCOLATE AND BLUEBERRY OATMEAL COOKIES

Serves: approx. 3 dozen cookies
- 1½ cups white whole wheat flour
- 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons real vanilla
- ¾ cup unsalted butter; softened
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup dried blueberries
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl; set aside
- In a large bowl combine butter and brown sugar and beat with electric mixer until creamy
- Add eggs and vanilla to this mixture and beat well
- Add flour combination to this mixture and mix well
- Add oats, blueberries and chocolate chips; mix well
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets
- Bake 10 minutes and cool on sheets for 1 minute
- Place on wire rack to complete cooling
- Store in covered container
