This Saturday, May 3 we will host our annual plant sale from 9am to 2pm.  The farm is only selling 4 year old Patriot and Bluecrop plants in #3 pots this year.  We have sold limited numbers of these larger plants in the past and they were snapped up early.  We are keeping the price at $34 which was the same price as last year.  These blueberry plants have loads of blossoms on them and will produce fruit this summer.  In the picture below, you can see they are at a stage this week called early pink bud which means they are about to be in full blossom.

In addition to the plant sale, we will host a pruning demonstration at 10am at the farm. Although we recently finished pruning all 3 fields of blueberries, we saved some of the bushes to be pruned in the demonstration this Saturday.  If you have been growing your own blueberries, this would be an excellent time to learn proper care and feeding of your plants.  At 11am, Mike will give an hour presentation on becoming a beekeeper which will include a handout and a tour of our own honey bee hives so come prepared for a hike in the blueberry fields.

From 1 pm to 2:30pm we will be holding an indoor class on making your own natural moisturizers, lip balms and bug spray.  We’ll be using all natural ingredients including bees wax and essential oils to create these products…perfect for Mother’s Day gifts!  The class is $20 per person and you must register for this class at 603-664-2100.

We hope to see you on Saturday!
